DJ Hymn is a Venice Boardwalk master turntablist with credits spanning Nickelodeon, Warner Bros. Animation, Teen Titans Go, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the Hancock soundtrack, Puma and Ford commercials, George Clinton, Bizzy Bone, Mix Master Mike, Quincy Jones III, and Numark's Ultimate DJ title.
At SUPA, the credits don't matter. The student does.
Every person who walks into the booth sees the world differently. That's not a challenge — that's the whole point. DJ Hymn doesn't try to make students see what he sees. He tries to see what they see. Then he waters it. Some students are nonverbal but carry rhythm in their bones — so they record words and trigger them via MIDI. Some make beats. Some sing. Some DJ. Some are building a brand, a visual identity, an artistic world entirely their own. Whatever the seed is, the job is to find it and give it life.
The fruits have been beautiful. Music on Apple Music and Spotify. Performances on stages across the country. Students who showed up uncertain and left knowing exactly who they are as artists.

John Tucker — known as MC Down and to millions as a cast member of A&E's Emmy-winning Born This Way— has been making music his entire life. Teamed up with SUPA's own DJ Hymn, the two have performed on stages across the country, most recently at SoFi Stadium. Their album Down For You is out now on Apple Music and Spotify. This is what the program builds.
