Who We Serve

These are not abstract percentages. They are the students in the room every week — the majority of whom have Down syndrome or autism, most of whom are people of color, and nearly half of whom come from households earning under $100,000 a year. A family with a disabled child spends an estimated ten times more on care than a neurotypical household at the same income level. SUPA exists precisely for this community — and the 98% program completion rate says they are not leaving.

From Families and Partners

When my daughter goes to dance with Robin she checks her disability at the door. Music and dance lets her be free and express herself in a way like no other. It's a comfortable, safe place.

Hillary Weiss
SUPA Parent

Taking a backstage tour of the Royal Opera House and then watching our kids perform to a packed house of over 300 people at Paul Hamlyn Hall — the energy in the room was electric. The dancers stepped up to the stage with such poise and concentration and they danced like true pros. By the end of their performance, everyone in the hall was cheering and weeping.

Parent of Miles, Royal Opera House 2024

You can always count on Straight Up Abilities to bring their all! They consistently bring all their talent, dedication, creativity, dynamism and beauty to the table, to the dance floor and to the stage. In short, they bring all of their abilities!
